Friends is Looking for Volunteers
Do you enjoy finding creative ways to bring people together for a common cause? We need volunteers to visit our local business community and help coordinate upcoming events and RAS’ Community Programs. Our Events Committee might be just the thing you are looking for!
We are also looking for volunteers to work with our Marketing Committee. We could use help with social media, newsletters, flyers, events, volunteer recruitment, and adoption promotions.
Another area where we can use your help is our Fundraising Committee. Volunteers work with the Events and Marketing Committees to help find ways to raise donations for RAS animals and RAS’ Community programs. Working with both committees, you get to create promotional materials needed to increase awareness of our work, goals, and financial needs.
Other areas where we need your expertise: photographing our events, and writers who can help with social media, flyers, and fundraising.

Fostering is an important step on a pet’s journey to their forever home. Fostering allows pets to thrive in a home environment and practice forming bonds with their caregivers. By fostering, you are not only saving one feline or canine but also saving another by freeing up space in the RAS to rescue other animals in need. Training will be provided by RAS.

RAS is currently seeking volunteers for jobs such as walking dogs, socializing with cats and other various duties that help the well-being of the animals in their care.
